Text Alert Opt-In

This page documents exactly how a person consents to receive text messages from Track Tag LLC. It is published without a login so it can be reviewed directly.

Who receives these messages

Recipients are employees of Track Tag LLC and authorized personnel at customer organizations (wildlife agencies and ranches) that use Track Tag equipment to monitor remote water sources. Every recipient holds a named login to the Track Tag water monitoring portal. There is no public sign-up, no purchased lists, and no consumer marketing.

The opt-in, step by step

1. An administrator creates the person's portal account. No phone number is collected at this point.
2. The person signs in and opens My Settings.
3. Under the heading Text alerts they see a field labeled My mobile number, which is empty by default.
4. They type their own mobile number.
5. Below it is a consent checkbox, unchecked by default. They must actively tick it. The exact wording is reproduced below.
6. Only then does the system send them text alerts. The date and time of consent is recorded against their account.

What we send

Operational alerts only, triggered by readings from the customer's own monitoring equipment. Examples of actual messages:

• Track Tag alert: LOW WATER - Poppy Guzzler is down to 18% full (8.6 inches). Alert level: 20%.
• Track Tag alert: Hiko Guzzler has not reported for 52 hours (alert level 48 h).
• Track Tag alert: HEAVY RAIN - Poppy Guzzler recorded 0.62 inches of rain in the last 24 hours.

We never send marketing, promotional, or third-party content by text.

Message frequency

Event-driven and variable. Most recipients get a handful of messages per month. During a storm or an equipment failure they may get several in a day.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Track Tag does not charge for the alerts.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message and messages cease immediately. A person can also untick the consent box or clear their number in My Settings at any time. Opting out of texts does not affect their email alerts or their access to the portal.

Privacy

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Numbers are used solely to deliver the alerts described above. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
